I spent this past weekend at my friend’s new cottage right on the lake.  I instantly fell in love with the beautiful view, the fresh air and the tranquil atmosphere.  Even though I had full wifi and cable, it was the most nature I’ve experienced in awhile and boy, did this city girl ever love it!  Ofcourse, we HAD to fulfill our shopaholic duties at some point so we took a drive to the nearest outlet mall.  I had already gone shopping the day before with the hubs in Seattle downtown so I was REALLY supporting the economy there.  It’s a tough job, but enjoying some ‘me time’ in front of the fireplace afterwards totally made up for all the hard work. 😉  I hope you had a lovely long weekend too! =)  Thanks for stopping by!

Grandpa sweaters are one of my favourite Fall/Winter items.  Aside from the fact that they take up a lot of my precious closet space, I think they are totally worth the investment.  First off, they keep me super warm (especially this cashmere & wool blend one that I’m wearing), and second, you can wear them with jeans, leggings or skirts!  Oh, and if that’s not enough, they’re also perfect to wear to those holiday dinners where you know you’ll be going to town on the garlic mashed potatoes and the triple chocolate cheesecake.  Perfect for hiding that food baby that is bound to happen especially on an overindulgent meal! 😉

Thanks for stopping by!

Soft Hues

IMG_9091IMG_9084IMG_9089IMG_9096IMG_9092This sweater is by far one of my favourite transition pieces to wear into Fall.  Not only is it easy to wear, but the soft and silky silhouette underneath the sweater adds a subtle touch of elegance, while keeping it casual with the gold flats.  Have a splendid day. =)
