What an adventure its been!  I’ve had so much fun styling this bump and now I’m even more excited to style ‘her’ too! I’ve been asked what three items I could not live without during pregnancy…here they are:

1) Pregnancy leggings!  Oh my gosh, they were the most comfortable thing ever!  Totally kept me warm during the winter months!

2) Maternity jeans – absolutely necessary and totally worth the investment for a good pair.

3) Long tank tops – covers the belly and opens the doors to so many things to wear in your closet such as cardigans, blazers and vests.

4) Maxi dress – A definite must if you are very pregnant in the summer (which i was!)  At that point, all I wanted to wear were one pieces and just pop on some accessories to top off the look!

5) Flats – Or any comfortable pair of shoes that will go with a lot of things.  I wore my nude sandals a lot in the summer time.  It’s neutral color made it easy to match anything!

Okay, so that wasn’t three…but I wanted to share as much as I could to help ya new mamas and future new mamas out there!

Thanks for reading! xoxo

Happy Monday!  I can’t believe the weekend went by so quickly.  It was definitely a fun-filled weekend for me though as I had my baby shower with my girlfriends!  The food, the decor and the wonderful company was just absolutely amazing.  I had a wonderful time and definitely felt super blessed to have such loving friends. =)

Pregnancy Update:

How far along? 33 Weeks

Baby is the size of a:  Durian!

Total weight gain: 19 lbs (sometimes 20 lbs after a big meal)

Baby is a:  Girl!

Stretch marks? Nope…not yet.

Sleep:  Pretty good except it is much harder for me to get up in the middle of the night to pee.  My mid section is just getting bigger by the day now and I’m finding it harder to get up on my own.

Best moment this week:  Definitely the baby shower!  I had such a blast.  I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much.  Will definitely be posting some pictures from the baby shower soon.  Stay tuned! =)

Worst moment of the week:  Major leg cramps all week long!  One morning it happen twice on both legs that I literally was limping my way to the bathroom as I got up to get ready.  Oh and to top it off, I also tried clipping my own toe nails this week but accidentally clipped one a little too far in.  ouch! It has been another bugger this week but the good moments this week totally outweighed the leg pain.  lol.

Have you told family and friends:  Yes!

Miss Anything?  My students.  I loved how much they loved the baby and were always so gentle when touching my belly every day in class.  They’re so cute.  I miss them!

Movement:  Yup!  Lots of moving around now even during the day.  I feel like it’s a matter of time before I see the shape of a hand or foot stretched out on my belly.

Food Cravings: As you probably saw on my instagram post a few days ago, I have been indulging in ice-cream.  Last weekend, my hubby and I went to try out a new ice cream place.  After I devoured my first cone (which was a double scoop by the way,) I mentioned to him that I could probably use another one.  Without hesitation, we turned around and walked back to the store and ordered my second cone.  I spent about $12-13 worth of ice-cream to eat within a 10 minute time frame that day.  Thank goodness I can use the ‘i’m pregnant’ card as an excuse.  haha.  Oh, and to top it off, the picture I took of my ice cream made it in the food section of the newspaper with the captions, ‘pregnancy cravings at rain or shine ice cream!’  It was seriously the funniest thing ever!

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Nope.

Have you started to show yet?  For sure!  When I took the skytrain this week to head downtown, random people offered their seat to me.  Either I’m looking really old or really pregnant.  Pretty sure  it’s the latter. :p haha

Belly Button in or out?  Still looks like a weirdly shaped cinnamon bun but I’m officially calling it an outie.

Wedding rings on or off?  On, but for the first time this week it started feeling tighter.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!!

Looking forward to:  finishing my post baccalaureate program this week and officially start enjoying my summer before our precious baby girl arrives.  =)

This week my husband said something to me that almost made me want to strangle him.  He asked me one night while he was washing the dishes, “hun, when should we have our second child?”  Perhaps I’m in my third trimester now and am finally feeling heavier with all the added effects of having a bigger belly to carry around, but I responded with “are you kidding me?!  You’re asking me about the second and I haven’t even pushed this one out yet?!”  After my big freak out attack on him, he said he meant when I want to have another baby rather than him asking for one right after.  Oh…oops, I guess my over-reactive hormones were on full blast that night.  hehe.

Pregnancy Update:

How far along? 28 Weeks

Baby is the size of an:  Eggplant!

Total weight gain: 12 lbs

Baby is a:  Girl!

Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep:  Definitely been waking up more frequently in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom!

Best moment this week:  Having a little one on one time with the hubby at the spa.  We went for our couples massage after work and it really helped us relax and rejuvenate.  We try to do this at least once every other month but because I get a specific pregnancy massage now, we try to go once a month.  I love how they have a special pillow that has a hole in the middle for where your pregnant belly goes so that I’m not squishing my baby during the massage.  I really miss lying on my tummy so this was a really wonderful experience. =)

Worst moment of the week:  I started having a sore throat in the middle of the week.  I think it was because I was standing outside for three hours in the pouring rain during the teacher strike day for our district.  I already made sure I bundled myself up before going out there but I guess I caught something.  I drank a ton of honey lemon water that night and made sure I slept lots.  I’m definitely feeling more like myself now.  Just glad it didn’t get too bad because I can’t really take any medication right now.

Have you told family and friends:  Yes!

Miss Anything?  Travelling!  Two of my girlfriends that my hubby and I have travelled to Europe with are currently on a trip to HK, Korea and Japan.  I’m totally living vicariously through them and the pictures they send me through whatsapp everyday.  So sweet that they think of me when they see a store I love or food I like to eat and send me a picture.  I will try my very best not to be too jelly.  lol.

Movement:  More like when is she ever still?  I swear, she practices her karate kicks in me every single day.  Sometimes, I literally jump out of my seat when she kicks me near my girly parts.  But that’s okay…it’s comforting to know she’s doing well in there.

Food Cravings:  I really wanted an Arby’s deluxe baked potato this week and fulfilled that craving.  A hot baked potato with butter, cheddar cheese, bacon, chives and extra sour cream was just what I wanted.  😉 mmm

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Nope.

Have you started to show yet?  For sure!  Although everyone still thinks I’m pretty small for nearly seven months preggers.  I think that will change soon….definitely feeling like its harder to get up from bed in the morning.

Belly Button in or out?  In, but getting shallower each day.  I’m still totally creeped out by my belly button.  ugh!

Wedding rings on or off?  On

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy! =) minus the sore throat day.

Looking forward to:  my next OB appointment and checking more things off the to-do list.  Only 2 and a half more months to go! ahhhhhh!!!
