What an adventure its been!  I’ve had so much fun styling this bump and now I’m even more excited to style ‘her’ too! I’ve been asked what three items I could not live without during pregnancy…here they are:

1) Pregnancy leggings!  Oh my gosh, they were the most comfortable thing ever!  Totally kept me warm during the winter months!

2) Maternity jeans – absolutely necessary and totally worth the investment for a good pair.

3) Long tank tops – covers the belly and opens the doors to so many things to wear in your closet such as cardigans, blazers and vests.

4) Maxi dress – A definite must if you are very pregnant in the summer (which i was!)  At that point, all I wanted to wear were one pieces and just pop on some accessories to top off the look!

5) Flats – Or any comfortable pair of shoes that will go with a lot of things.  I wore my nude sandals a lot in the summer time.  It’s neutral color made it easy to match anything!

Okay, so that wasn’t three…but I wanted to share as much as I could to help ya new mamas and future new mamas out there!

Thanks for reading! xoxo

Wow, am I really six and a half months preggers now?  It’s crazy to think time has gone by so fast and I’m already in my final trimester. =)  The students in my class are so sweet.  They’ve been writing letters to the baby, drawing pictures of my growing belly and giving her tons of hugs throughout the day.  I seriously feel I have the best job in the whole world!  Hope you’re having a splendid weekend so far!  Thanks for dropping by to check up on me.  Cheers!

Pregnancy Update:

How far along? 26 Weeks

Baby is the size of a:  head of lettuce!

Total weight gain: 11 lbs

Baby is a:  Girl!

Stretch marks? Nope.  Honestly, I really don’t care if I do get them though…it’s not like I’m a supermodel and need to be in a bikini a few weeks after giving birth.

Symptoms:  I’m starting to feel more tired at the end of the day.  Naps are an absolute necessity at the moment.

Sleep:  Pretty good this week.  The only thing is I can’t seem to sleep in on the weekends anymore.

Best moment this week:  My childhood friend and I have an annual Mother’s Day tradition where we basically double date and take our moms out for high tea.  This year was just like every other year except I also felt like it was my first soon to be mother’s day as well.  I received many sweet texts from dear friends that wished me a happy soon-to-be mother’s day and even my hubby took me out for brunch and got me a little gift.

Worst moment of the week:  I woke up one night this week and literally felt like I wanted to barf.  Good thing my hubby was still awake to help me out.  He brought me tums, water, and a bag in case I actually needed to use it.  It was so weird because I haven’t had any morning sickness at all since the beginning of my pregnancy.  We later figured out that it was probably because of the very rushed dinner we had that night, combined with watching spiderman 2 in ultra AVX that brought up some nausea and indigestion in me later on.  I have so much sympathy for the moms out there that have morning sickness throughout their pregnancy.  Holy moly!  I don’t know how I’d be able to do it. Kudos to the moms that went through months of that!

Have you told family and friends:  Yes!

Miss Anything?  Travelling!  My hubby and I go to Europe every summer but this year, it’s all about our baby girl.

Movement:  Oh yeah!  This girl loves to practice her karate kicks in me everyday!

Food Cravings: The burgers and fries cravings came back full force this week.  I had burgers and fries about 3 -4 times this week!  What is going on?  Oh, and my appetite has seemed to increase tenfold…not only do I devour my own meal but I end up eating some of my husband’s meal afterwards too.  Needless to say, I’m one hungry preggers at the moment.  lol.

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Nope, except for that one night after the Spiderman 2 movie.  ugh…

Have you started to show yet?  For sure!  We went to Earls for dinner this week (and yes, I had burgers and fries) and the three  hostesses at the door were asking me how far along I am and how my pregnancy has been so far.

Belly Button in or out?  In, but getting shallower each day.  I’m still totally creeped out by my belly button.  ugh!

Wedding rings on or off?  On

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy! =)

Looking forward to:  Our 3D ultrasound coming up next week!

Spring Florals & A New Do!

This week, I finally got my hair chopped off to donate.  I’ve been growing it for so long for this cause and was finally able to donate 14-15″ of hair!  Let’s just say my hubby hasn’t complained about any ‘hair spiders’ (as he calls them) in the house anymore.  lol.  Hope you like the new do as much as I do. =)

Pregnancy Update:

How far along? 25 Weeks

Baby is the size of a:  Cauliflower!

Total weight gain: 11 lbs

Baby is a:  Girl!

Stretch marks? Nope.  My belly is starting to feel itchy though from all the stretching but I heard it’s best not to scratch.

Symptoms:  nothing much…just hungry all the time (and I mean ALL THE TIME!).

Sleep:  Sometimes I wake up and find myself sleeping on my back.  I quickly have to readjust back to my side because all that pressure on my back overnight causes it to really hurt the next day.

Best moment this week:  Meeting up with my girlfriend who just had twin girls and finally getting my baby registry done.  I would be so lost in that store without her and would have no idea what I need.  Thanks a bunch Meggie!! =)  xoxo!  I also passed my glucose test which made me feel much better about my recent sugar binge. Sweet!

Worst moment of the week:  Experiencing my very first leg cramp.  My friends warned me about this and that it was inevitable in the third trimester.  It was not fun!  ouch! ><

Have you told family and friends:  Yes!

Miss Anything?  I miss having the energy that I had in second trimester.  I did some spring clean up of my closet this week and I think I took two naps in between.  That’s just ridiculous.  lol.

Movement:  So much!!  I spend about 5-10 minutes each night just watching my belly move.  It’s kind of nice to have a few minutes of the day where I’m only concentrating on her.

Food Cravings: Still tropical fruits (papaya, mangoes, pineapples) and ofcourse, the protein.  I also think my sweet tooth is beginning to come back out of hiding.  I had hagen daz ice cream at least three times this week after dinner.  The flavours?  Peanut butter and chocolate, white chocolate raspberry, and vanilla chocolate almond.  mmm!  I definitely didn’t eat as much as I usually do when it comes to ice cream though.  I had about two scoops as opposed to my usual 3-4.  😉

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Nope.

Have you started to show yet?  Oh yes.  My aunt says I don’t look pregnant from the back but when I turn sideways, she says the belly is sticking out!

Belly Button in or out?  In, but it’s getting shallower everyday!  To be honest, I find this part of pregnancy the most creepiest so far.  Something about my belly button popping out makes me shiver.  I don’t know why. LOL..

Wedding rings on or off?  On

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy!  *insert happy dance*

Looking forward to:  My hubby’s big 3-0 bash this week, although he says he’s more excited about his daughter’s b-day than his own.
